Also known as ”Mrs. Pee Dee Foodie”, MELISSA BARRON is the c0-founder and publisher of PeeDeeFoodie.com™, as well as guest host/moderator for the Pee Dee Food Show™ internet radio show (podcast) available through iTunes and RSS feed.

A native of Louisiana, she grew up in a small town between Baton Rouge and New Orleans called Reserve.  She comes from a long line of excellent cooks and can make a mean Jambalaya among other dishes with a creole and cajun flair. Her background includes legal secretarial and healthcare administrative support, as well education as a very busy substitute teacher. Current projects include collecting recipes, testing recipes, and enjoying weekend adventures in and around the Pee Dee region with family and friends. Melissa is an active supporter of Harvest Hope Food Bank and other local non-profits.
