Mrs. Pee Dee Foodie

Mrs. Pee Dee Foodie is Melissa Barron, wife of Pee Dee Foodie and social media maven for PeeDeeFoodie.com™. She is a mother, a home school teacher, and an avid reader.  She often writes from a more personal perspective and contributes to restaurant reviews, features, and event reports as time allows.

A native of the Bayou State, she grew up in a small town between Baton Rouge and New Orleans called Reserve, Louisiana.  She comes from a long line of excellent cooks and can make a mean Jambalaya among other dishes with a creole and cajun flair.  Her background includes legal secretarial and healthcare administrative support, as well education, as a very busy substitute teacher.  Current projects include collecting recipes, testing recipes, and enjoying weekend adventures in and around the Pee Dee region with her family.
