SMAC(K) Me Silly! Gourmet Mac and Cheese is Rolling into Florence.
Recently, I’ve been in contact with a Facebook friend, Kasey Cromer. Kasey has been sharing information with me that I think you will find not only interesting, but exciting. Joe Parker, the owner of one of the food trucks that I mentioned to you recently in a previous post, is ready to make a few things known publicly. Joe and Kasey have chosen to share that information with you, our PeeDeeFoodie.com readers, first. Of course, we appreciate the scoop!
Taste it First at the South Carolina Pecan Festival
SMAC (short for “South Carolina Mac And Cheese”) will launch at this year’s Florence Downtown South Carolina Pecan Festival. With over 50,000 visitors anticipated to attend this street festival, it’s the perfect venue to showcase a new food venture, especially one with wheels!
The Pecan Festival menu will include SMAC’s original, Gourmet Mac & Cheese, to which you can add Chili, Bacon or Blackend Shrimp. For dessert, SMAC will offer homemade Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Prices have not been released, but they should be soon. After the Pecan Festival concludes and regular service in Florence begins, SMAC will expand its menu to provide daily specials, including a gluten-free mac and cheese.
How will you locate SMAC?
After the Pecan Festival launch, SMAC’s locations will change daily. The best way to stay up-to-date on developments between now and then, as well as locate SMAC for lunch, you should follow it’s Twitter and Facebook pages. Here are SMAC’s social media links. Bon Appetit!
