On February 16, 2013 the Florence Little Theater brought Mardi Gras to Florence. The sights, sounds and flavors of New Orleans combined with excitement of the hundreds of patrons who filled the lobby, rehearsal space and VIP tent. Together they formed an experience that Melissa and I won’t soon forget. It was Fat Tuesday on Saturday at the FLT.
Volunteer chefs from around the Pee Dee Region came together to offer an exciting menu of authentic Louisiana classics. Take a look at our photos below. You’ll get some sense of the crowd, the decor and the food! Tell us if you recognize any of those Fat Tuesday favorite dishes or your neighbors enjoying themselves.
Big kudos to the gala committee, volunteers and board for a job well done. The Florence Little Theater knows how to throw a party!
By the way, because our readers’ interest in the event was so high, the Pee Dee Food Show episode previewing Fat Tuesday on Saturday was downloaded over 700 times. Thank you for your support of our podcast.
