Complete List of Taste of Florence 2012 Award Winners

As promised, we’ve got the scoop on the complete list of Taste of Florence 2012 Award Winners. See this article from the night of the event for photos and a recap of our booth’s prize winners. I was so excited after the event Tuesday night that I went home and cranked out that first report.

SPECIAL JUDGING AWARDS
These were the awards determined by the judging panel on which I served. Along side me were Toni Scott and Cecil Chandler. They were a joy to work with, as were the volunteers who assisted us with the judging process. Special thanks go to Sabrina Query and Jennifer Hoover for the invitation to serve. It was an honor.

Best Appetizer:
1st: Fatz Cafe
2nd: Southern Hops
3rd: Victor’s Bistro & Catering

Best Entree:
1st: Redbone Alley
2nd: Florence Civic Center
3rd: Stefano’s Italian Restaurant

Best Dessert:
1st: Let Them Eat Cake!
2nd: SweetLeigh’s Cakes & Treats
3rd: Stefano’s Italian Restaurant

Best Booth Decor:
1st: Sweet! A Cupcake Company
2nd: Top Hat Special-Teas
3rd: Stefano’s Italian Restaurant

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS
These awards were determined through event night voting. All attendees were eligible to vote for their favorites.

Appetizer: Da Massimo’s
Entree: Bizzell’s
Dessert: Sweet! A Cupcake Company
Booth: Sweet! A Cupcake Company

KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS
These awards were determined through event night voting. All children in attendance were eligible to vote for their favorites. It’s interesting to see how their tastes differ from those of the adults. That said, not groups loved our PeeDeeFoodie.com Content Partner, Sweet!

TABLE DECOR AWARD
This award was determined by Marty Church who is a local Interior Designer. There were some truly beautiful sponsored tables near the event stage.
