Competition Judges Announced for Taste of Florence 2012
As October 16th approaches more information is becoming available about this year’s Taste of Florence. Last week, I learned the names of the other two judges for the chefs’ competitive aspect of the event. As you may know, I have been honored with this wonderful opportunity again this year and I am now excited to tell you the names of my compatriots: Toni Scott and Cecil Chandler.
Taste of Florence Special Judging Awards will be given in three categories: Best Appetizer, Best Entree, and Best Dessert. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category. The ratings will be based on a scale of 1-10 in the following areas: Taste, Presentation, and Creativity. There will also be People’s Choice and Children’s Choice awards, as well as an award for booth decoration — all judged separately.
