Laurie is the owner and operator of Top Hat Special-Teas, a Southern tea room with fabulous food and a unique atmosphere. She opened the restaurant over 12 years ago, has grown a loyal clientele, and has seen her patience rewarded. Top Hat serves as an inspiration to restaurateurs seeking to join the downtown food scene. Speaking of which, Suzanne represents Victor’s Bistro (and the future Hotel Florence). She currently is director of catering services at the existing restaurant on Irby Street, but alongside that role she’s playing an integral part in helping to plan for the new Victor’s Bistro opening downtown in 2013.
Listen in as we talk about what we believe are realistic expectations for downtown. You might even hear a few aspirations thrown in there as well. It’s a great conversation that I hope will the the first of many to come.
