Host: Mrs. Pee Dee Foodie
Guest: Her Momma
From the heart of the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina, welcome to the Pee Dee Food Show! In Episode 11 – Cajuns in the Kitchen, I turn the microphone over to Mrs. Pee Dee Foodie who is talking with her mother, Mae, about their Cajun heritage and the cooking traditions of their family and friends. That bit of Cajun influence is our household and right here in the Pee Dee, a well. From gumbo and potato stew, to stuffed cabbage and jambalaya — it’s all in there. Recipes for two of the dishes will be posted on PeeDeeFoodie.com in the future. Look for them soon.
I hope you enjoy this family-focused episode as much as I did when doing the editing. If you did, please let us know. We love feedback from our listeners and readers. After all, you’re part of our foodie family.
