This exciting, foodie-friendly Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce fundraiser for the 2011 not-for-profit Leadership Florence program will be held in the SiMT Building behind the Florence-Darlington Technical College at 1951 Pisgah Road in Florence, South Carolina. The date is Tuesday, April 27th and the event starts at 6:00pm and ends at about 9:00pm. Event proceeds will fund a $1,200 scholarship for a Leadership Florence candidate, as well as benefit the Chamber’s kitchen renovation program.
According to event hosts, “Attendees will watch, drink and sample as top local chefs compete in the Taste the South – Best Chef Competition….” It will be a “… culinary extravaganza that includes: food, wine and beer, local vendors, culinary demos, South Carolina products and door prizes.” For tickets, $20 per person, sponsorship and more information contact the Chamber at (843) 665-0515 or email
